In honor of the Girls, Women, and Rural Communities (#GWRC) we work with across the globe, every Tuesday this month we’ll be sharing news and stories about the initiatives we support in Nepal, Kenya, and soon to be Nicaragua.
Initiatives that create access to education, health, and economic opportunities, like our Solukhumbu University Girls Hostel in Nepal, which is currently under construction and will support 20 girls pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in its inaugural year.
Initiatives like the Naro Moru Women’s Resource Center, which we plan to build in Kenya, that will provide community space and access to a marketplace for more than 500 women entrepreneurs.
Initiatives like the Sreejana School in Nicaragua, which will one day offer a Pre K-11 English immersion education to 500 students in a region where uneducated individuals struggle to find meaningful employment.
This #GivingTuesday, we ask for your support so that we can drive forward even more meaningful partnerships with communities like those mentioned above.
Consider what your donations can do:
- $50 purchases 25 earthbags to construct a wall of a girls dorm
- $100 buys a door or a window frame for a school classroom
- $500 purchases enough earthbags to build an entire school classroom
